Arts Administration & Marketing Intern - Summer 2025
Proposed Internship Dates: June 2, 2025 - July 31, 2025 (Negotiable)
Proposed Time Commitment: 10 hours per week (Negotiable up to 20 hours per week for school credit requirements)
Introduction:
Paris Academy for the Arts is dedicated to enriching the cultural community of Paris, Tennessee, and the surrounding region by providing high-quality arts education, fostering creative expression, and promoting appreciation for the arts. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our team during the summer months of June and July. This internship offers a unique opportunity for a college student or individual seeking experience in marketing, non-profit administration, and/or the vibrant arts sector. The intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of arts management, contributing directly to the Academy's mission and community engagement.
Internship Goals and Objectives:
This internship aims to provide the intern with practical experience in the following areas:
Marketing and Communications: Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote Academy programs, events, and initiatives.
Non-Profit Administration: Gain insight into the operational aspects of a non-profit arts organization, including donor relations, community outreach, and administrative tasks.
Arts Management: Understand the unique challenges and rewards of managing an arts-focused organization, including program planning and logistical support.
Specific Responsibilities May Include (but are not limited to):
Marketing & Social Media:
Assisting in the creation of engaging content for the Academy's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Drafting and scheduling social media posts.
Contributing to the development of email marketing campaigns.
Assisting with the creation of marketing materials
Non-Profit Support:
Supporting the planning and execution of fundraising events or campaigns.
Assisting with general administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and correspondence.
Program & Event Support:
Assisting with the preparation and setup for classes, workshops, and events.
Providing on-site support during events as needed.
Gathering feedback from participants and instructors.
Assisting with the organization of program materials.

Supervision and Mentorship:
The intern will report to Gianina Slone, Administrator, and will receive regular guidance, feedback, and mentorship throughout the internship. We are committed to providing a supportive and educational environment where the intern can learn and grow.
