Join us for a 3 week series of Workshops with the talented and renowned artist, Dan Knowles. Dan will cover several topics over the course of 3 weeks including creativity and the heart and soul of surrealism with painting. This will be a fun, informative class taught by a local legend that you will not want to miss!

Week 1: Heart of Creativity: Paint Throwing- Using the technique of Jackson Pollock, we will throw paint and learn to visualize imagery in that paint. Each student will have one 16” x 20” canvas. All paint is supplied.

Week 2: Visualization and Detailing- Continued visualization and Max Ernst techniques. Students will detail out & bring imagery to the previous week’s paint throwing.

Week 3: Painting in the Round- Using the surrealist exercise of painting in the round, students will spend time painting on canvas while rotating throughout other students’ paintings and adding their own imagery. These will be on 16” x 20” canvases.
