Learn to Quilt,
“Quick as a Wink”

During this 4-week basic quilting class, students will learn all steps to complete the “Quick as a Wink” quilt pattern pictured here.

Students should have basic sewing machine skills and will need to bring fabric and supplies to each class. (see details below).

For those who are not able to bring their own sewing machine to class, we have some available to use on-site. Availability is limited. Please contact instructor Nancy Hicks prior to registering if you will need us to provide a sewing machine for class use.

Fabric & Supplies (please contact instructor prior to class with any questions)

1. Sewing machine in good working order (contact instructor if you are not able to bring to class. We have a limited number available for class use, but they must be reserved in advance).

2. Rotary cutter, mat, and a ruler with 4 inch marking

3. Fabric -
Three 1/2 yard cuts (width of fabric), two 1 yard cuts of fabric.
Three yards of coordinating flannel for backing.
All fabric should coordinate well.
Fabric should be prewashed, dried and ironed before class

4. Crib size batting. Instructor recommends Warm & Natural which can be purchased at WalMart.

6. Thread to match and have two bobbins prewound.

7. Basic sewing notions - scissors, needles, pins, seam ripper (we have some items available at the school for class use)
