October 11th- Apron Class

Learn how to make a simple cross-back apron. This is a classic pattern and will fit anyone. It’s easy to slip on, has a couple of big pockets and can be made whatever length you need. Supplies needed are 1 1/2 yards of linen or cotton, matching thread, and 6 1/2 yards of 2” bias tape OR a 24” square piece of fabric to make your own.

October 18th- Casserole Carrier

This casserole carrier goes together easily and quickly. It gives you a secure way to transport your favorite dish to a pot luck or family gathering, and they make great gifts. You will need 2 yards of cotton fabric. This can be all the same fabric or 1 yard each of two coordinates. Also needed is 1 yard of Insulbrite or batting, 80” of 1” strapping, 24” of 1-2” sew in Velcro (not sticky backed), and chalk or marking pencil. Of course, sewing machine, pins, clips, thread, etc will be required.

October 25th- Double Oven Mitt

In this class you will learn how to make a double oven mitt. This has a hand pocket on each end connected by fabric and batting in the middle to protect your arms when removing a dish from the oven. To make this you will need 1/2 yard each of two coordinating fabrics and 1/4 yard (width of fabric, not fat quarter) of a third coordinating fabric. Also needed is 1/4 yard of cotton batting, thread, scissors, clips or pins, sewing machine and basic supplies.
