Students will learn the basic techniques of impressionist oil painting, including color mixing, composition, and specialized effects while completing 3-5 paintings throughout the course. No prior experience is necessary. Ages 14+

Developed in France, impressionism painting emphasizes the effects of natural light using quick brush strokes. Rather than focus on details and blending, these layers create bare form with the illusion of movement.
