Learn how to sew your very own Table Runner, Sewing Mat/Machine Cover, Project Bags and Christmas Ornaments!! You can take all workshops at a discounted rate or pick one!
November 1st- Table Runner Class
Make this table runner for any holiday or to match your decor. It goes together quickly with the “quilt as you go” technique. This class is for a confident beginner to advanced sewist. You will need 1 1/2 yards of quilting cotton, six coordinating 1/4 yards of fabric, a piece of batting about 18” x 54”, fabric basting spray, thread, your machine and sewing supplies.
November 8th- Sewing Mat/Machine Cover
Let’s make something nice for your sewing machine, and helpful for you! This project is a mat to put under your machine to help with vibration and to keep your tools close. When you’re done for the day it becomes a dust cover for your machine. You will need 1/2 yard of two coordinating fabrics and a few scraps of other fabrics that go with the main ones. Also, a piece of batting about 21” x 24”, 1 1/2 yard of ribbon or twill tape for ties, matching thread, sewing machine and supplies.
November 15th- Project Bags
These are great bags to store your “works in progress” in, or supplies for future projects. They also make much appreciated gifts for teachers or crafty friends. You will need several small to medium sized pieces of cotton fabric that look good together - nothing larger than a fat quarter. Also a piece of batting about 24” square and a zipper no longer than 18”. You can make a small, medium or large bag and you will learn an easy way to insert a zipper! The bag has a vinyl see through window to look at what’s inside. Instructor will supply the vinyl. Bring your sewing machine and supplies. Confident beginner.
November 22nd- Christmas Ornaments
Let’s make some fun ornaments for your Christmas tree or to use as package tie ons. Will need Pinking Shears and Heat & Bond Lite fusible (available at Walmart).
